Room For More | Youth Takeover 01182026

1. Breaking the False Narrative About Gen Z

Pastor Jordan opened by confronting the stigma surrounding Generation Z — the idea that they’re “too far gone,” “too woke,” or uninterested in God. He reminded us that calling any generation hopeless underestimates grace and overestimates sin.

The gospel has never needed a supportive culture to change lives. Daniel thrived spiritually in Babylon — a culture completely opposed to God — proving that God can move anywhere, in any generation.

2. Evidence of a Move of God

Across Maine, Brazil, New Jersey, and even social media, Pastor Jordan kept seeing the same thing: A generation on fire for God.

If it’s not just one church, one state, or one country… God is doing something unique in this generation.

Barna Research even calls it a “generational reversal.”   And as one author wrote, “The church won’t end with Generation Z. Far from it.”

The message: If God is moving in them, He can move in you. God is not done with any generation.

3. A Call to Every Person in the Room

Whether you’re new to church, carrying church hurt, feeling disconnected, or already on fire for God — you’re here for a reason. There’s a spiritual “train” moving. Don’t stay a spectator. It’s time to get in the game.

4. God Makes Room for More

Pastor Jordan shared a story from a flight where he wanted space, but God was actually creating space for one more. That theme leads into Acts 2 — a chapter where God makes room for thousands.

5. Acts 2: How 3,000 Souls Were Saved

Pastor Jordan broke it down into three movements:

A. Prepared

Before the miracle, the disciples were waiting in obedience. They didn’t manufacture a moment. They didn’t rush God. They simply waited — even when it didn’t feel spiritual.

We often want:

  • Growth without groundwork

  • Results without readiness

But sometimes God is preparing, not delaying.

B. Proclaimed

After receiving the Holy Spirit, Peter — the same Peter who once denied Jesus — stepped forward with boldness. God empowered him to speak.

People can’t believe unless they hear, and they can’t hear unless someone tells them. We need believers who aren’t afraid to proclaim the gospel.

C. Repented

The crowd didn’t applaud Peter — they responded. They were “cut to the heart” and asked, “What should we do?”   Peter’s answer: Repent, be baptized, receive the Holy Spirit.

Repentance isn’t shame — it’s surrender. And that surrender opened the door for 3,000 souls to be added.

6. There’s Room for You

Pastor Jordan closed with the sobering story of the Titanic. Lifeboats meant for 65 people left with only 28. Not because there wasn’t room — but because people didn’t feel the urgency or didn’t want to leave what was comfortable.

Many people treat God the same way:

  • “I’ll get right with God later.”

  • “I don’t want to leave what’s familiar.”

But empty seats mean missed opportunities. Don’t miss your moment.

7. Final Challenge

God is moving. God is making room. God is calling more souls — including yours.

Don’t stay on the sidelines. Don’t wait for a better moment. Today is the day. There is room for you.
