Devotional | Room For More

Devotional: Room for More

Scripture:   “Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.”   —Acts 2:41

Thought

God has always been in the business of making room for more. More grace. More mercy. More souls.

In Acts 2, the miracle didn’t begin with a sermon — it began with people who were willing to wait. They didn’t rush God or try to manufacture a moment. They simply obeyed, stayed together, and trusted that God would do what He promised.

And He did.

The Holy Spirit came. Peter stepped forward in boldness. He proclaimed the gospel. People’s hearts were pierced. And thousands were saved.

The pattern still holds today:

Prepared → Proclaimed → Repentance → Revival

God is moving in this generation — not just in one church or one city, but across nations. And if He’s moving around you, He can move in you. There is no generation too far gone, no person too broken, no heart too hard. Grace is always greater.

Reflection

Sometimes we feel like nothing is happening. We pray, we wait, we show up — and it feels quiet. But waiting is not wasting. God prepares before He pours out.

Maybe He’s preparing you right now. Maybe He’s making room in your heart for more of Him. Maybe He’s positioning you to reach someone else.

Challenge

Don’t stay a spectator. Don’t assume there’s no room for you. Don’t wait for a “better moment.”

There is room in God’s presence. There is room in God’s family. There is room for you.

Prayer

Lord, prepare my heart for what You want to do. Give me boldness to share Your love, and humility to respond when You speak. Make room in me for more of You, and use me to help others find their place in Your kingdom. Amen.
